Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CastConductor services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Description of Services

CastConductor provides:

  • A WordPress plugin for managing Roku channel content
  • A Roku application template for streaming content
  • Provisioning services for Roku app configuration

Important: CastConductor does NOT host your content. All channel content (videos, images, episodes, etc.) is stored on YOUR WordPress installation and/or your own CDN. We do not have access to, store, or control your content.

Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Publish content that violates copyright or intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware or malicious code
  • Use the service for illegal purposes
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

Content Ownership & Responsibility

  • You retain full ownership of all content you create
  • Your content is stored on YOUR servers - we do not host, store, or have access to your content
  • You are solely responsible for your content and its compliance with all applicable laws

Roku Channel Store Submission

Independent from Roku, Inc.

CastConductor is independent from Roku, Inc. We do not guarantee app approval by Roku.

You can begin testing your Roku app immediately after downloading and sideloading on your device. However, Roku has its own approval process and timeline before apps go live in the Roku Channel Store, which is completely outside our control.

Roku Requirements

Roku has specific requirements for Channel Store apps:

  • Content Policy: No adult content, excessive violence, hate speech, or illegal material
  • Intellectual Property: Per Roku's Distribution Agreement, you must own or have valid licenses for all content. Roku may remove channels that infringe copyrights or violate third-party rights.
  • Quality: App must be stable and performant
  • Branding: Proper logos and descriptions required
  • Privacy: Clear privacy policy required if collecting viewer data

You Are Responsible for Your Content

CastConductor provides the tools to build and distribute your Roku channel. You are fully responsible for the content you publish.

We are not liable for any copyright infringement, licensing violations, or legal claims arising from your content. Distributing copyrighted material without authorization may result in channel removal by Roku and potential legal action against you.

Intellectual Property

  • CastConductor software, including the WordPress plugin and Roku app template, is licensed under the terms specified in our License
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software except as permitted
  • ROKU is a trademark of Roku, Inc. CastConductor is not affiliated with Roku, Inc.

Subscription and Payments

  • Subscription fees are billed according to your selected plan
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice
  • One-time setup fees are non-refundable
  • Recurring subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

Termination

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • Your content remains on YOUR servers; we do not delete your content upon termination

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • That the service will meet your specific requirements
  • Approval by Roku or any third-party platform
  • The accuracy of any content or information

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CASTCONDUCTOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CastConductor from any claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or violation of these terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
